Early Access – How's it going?
Wow.
Wow!! I don’t really have words – the last 48 hours have been amazing!
Pressing the big green “release” button was scary, but it’s been super smooth since then – thank you, community testers! As a team and on our Discord, we’ve been celebrating all of the milestones and achievements that Adaptory has hit over the last 48 hours: hitting #2 in “Popular Upcoming” on Steam, and briefly being in Steam’s “Top Sellers”; hitting our first ten Steam reviews; wishlists increasing by 10% overnight, and now blasing past 20k 😮; and at one point, there were 600 people watching Adaptory on Twitch! 🎉
It’s also been very fun to hang out with Molly Berry, Zeppy, Cinn, Stella, and many others – thank you for streaming on our release day :D
I’m glad that people are playing the game, experimenting and learning, getting invested in their crew, discovering and having fun (right now, 50!! people are playing!). And nobody’s found all of Adaptory’s secrets yet :p
I’ve just pushed the latest patch, 0.16.14, which fixes some very rare crashes, polishes some text and CHARLI steps, and also makes the breathability overlay easier to read:
- In the breathability overlay, very low levels of oxygen (less than 200g) are now shaded red
- Increased the maximum length of a tantrum from 0.1 days to 0.2 days
- Increased length of “visited ruins” buff (+10% happiness) for archaeologists from 0.25 days to 2 days
- Fixed explorers occasionally getting stuck in an infinite loop if they were trying to pick up an item that had moved
- Fixed the gas or liquid filter dropdown not working if UI scale was set to 110% or greater
- Fixed a few rare crashes from explorers writing diary entries
- Fixed some demo save files not being loadable in the full game
- And more: Check out the patch notes here
I’m still trying to find any last remaining bugs or crashes, or if anything is confusing. Please let me know! We have a new bug reporting channel in our Discord, and you can always send me a DM or email too.
Thank you to everyone who’s joined us in this journey, have bought a copy of Adaptory, and have left a review. If you are enjoying the game, please consider leaving an honest review on Steam. Every single review helps a lot!!
