Each playthrough of Adaptory is unique, thanks to both the explorer generation, but also the way in which Adaptory procedurally generates every world. The world generation process has been massively revamped and polished for Early Access, with lots for your explorers to discover.

(Spoilers ahead!)

Ancient civilisations

Discovering ancient civilisations deep underground

As your crew digs deeper into the planetoid, they’ll discover mysterious ruins – brickwork, columns, vases, and statues – all seemingly abandoned by a previous civilisation. Why are they here, and what happened to this planetoid’s previous inhabitants?

Springs

Naturally-generating springs provide an endless source of water

Your explorers may also uncover a new world feature: natural springs! These are permanent features that continually create and emit water into the world, allowing you to set up more self-sufficient and sustainable bases.

There are even rumours of magma springs deep underground.

Relics

What are these odd objects we've found?

Deep underground, your explorers may also uncover ancient relics buried in the ground. Jars, instruments, objects, and all sorts of other weird stuff have been left behind – and your explorers love them. By using the brand new Display Stand building, you can also proudly showcase your discoveries, giving nearby explorers a bonus to their mood.

The story continues

Did someone pick up our distress signal?

Early Access continues the story where the demo left off. After powering up your distress transmitter, filling it with transmitite, and sending out your distress signal, it appears another ship received your transmission and has landed nearby. And without spoiling too much – you’ll probably want to investigate the ship sooner rather than later…

And it’s almost here!!

This is our final feature preview post because tomorrow, Adaptory Early Access is LIVE! There are so many new features and improvements we’ve not been able to cover yet, so we’ll have full patch notes to share as well. Thank you for following along, and we cannot wait for tomorrow!
